  1. Radon is a radioactive gas, formed by the decay of uranium. Often
  2. seeping into homes, excessive radon levels can cause cancer. Radon
  3. itself is not the problem, as it is an inert gas. But several decay
  4. products form a dust, which can be inhaled and deposit on lung tissue.
